Nilai – Almost all students in the Faculty of Leadership and Management (FKP) suffered when there was no water supply at the surau.
They had to perform ablution in the toilet, making them uncomfortable. Nurul Hidayah Ramli, 22, a student of Da’wah Program claimed that this is the worst situation and should not happen.
“The surau was small and the number of students is increasing. The surau is always packed at the peak time and now there were no water supply. There were no other surau here and I have to do my ablution in the toilet,” she said.
A lecturer, Suria Hani, 27 said that she had a lecture at two and most of the students came late.
“I feel pity for the students, they were rushing to the class and to make it worse there were no water supply,” she said. She also added that all the nearest toilet were full because of this problem.
“There were lots of students queuing up in the toilet during Zohor prayer,” she said.
Meanwhile, Siti Norhamizah Sazali, 22, student from Counseling Program told that the day before, the situation were even worse that the surau was flooded.
“Yesterday, this surau cannot be used because it was flooded and today there were no water supply. It totally disturbs our daily activities,” she said.
She hopes that this problem can be encounter as soon as possible because the surau is the most important facilities since there were no mosque in the campus.
“I really hope that this problem will not happen again since this is an Islamic university. I wonder how if there are visitors coming,” she said.
